Features of an Asterisk PBX

Call Transfer Calls can be transferred between extensions whether they are on the same site or somewhere half way around the world. Call parking functionality is also available.

Music on Hold When placed on hold, callers will hear music or your custom messages. Systems can be configured so that the client can create and update custom on hold messages.

Call Queuing Incoming callers can be queued in an unlimited number of queues. Each queue can support static or dynamic extensions with weighting applied to select entry points or based on caller identification. Additionally, call queue statistics are available for use in reviewing key performance indicators.

Call Recording Asterisk can be configured to record all inbound and outbound calls. These call recordings can be made available to appropriate internal staff members via a secured web interface for their review.

Whispers When a call is coming in, information about the phone call can be whispered to an operator/agent.

Announcements Announcements can be made to callers when they ring in and before the call is transferred to an operator. This can be helpful for situations such as where an event is sold out, or where there is a technical fault which may be affecting various customers.
